Dr. Sam Barnhar
Dr. Sam, a central Missouri native, grew up baling hay and feeding cattle on his parent’s farm just West of Vienna, Missouri.
In high-school, Dr. Sam experienced first-hand the world of dentistry and spent an entire Summer in his father’s office; Dr. Timothy Barnhart, as a dental assistant. This pivotal time in his life opened his eyes to the types of services a dentist can perform. He knew becoming a dentist was his goal from then on.
Education
Dr. Sam graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2009 and has been practicing in Westphalia, Missouri, just outside of Jefferson City, ever since.
Dr. Sam continues his education post dental school by taking a range of education courses all across the country. Some of his post grad classes are: Multiple Dental Implant Training and Placement Courses, CEREC Technology course work, completing the Series CEREC Levels 1-6, dental laser training, and advanced training on 3D radiology, which is implemented right here in the office. Dr. Sam places and uses both conventional, and mini implants and is highly versed in implant dentistry.
Dr. Sam is working on becoming a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and will pursue a master in implantology after that.
New Office, New Technology
In January 2014, Dr. Sam moved his office into the old St. Mary’s Pharmacy building located next to the Westphalia Retirement Center to improve services to his clients. Dr. Sam is proud of the new technology offered; Huntline Dental Group is now able to provide more comprehensive care than ever before.
Personal Life
Dr. Sam lives in Westphalia with his wife, Leslie Struemph Barnhart, and their three children, Hudson, Hoyt, and baby girl Beckett! “The kids have changed my life forever,” says Sam.
In his free time, Sam enjoys archery hunting and producing the local television series, Huntline TV. You can watch his TV show anytime you’d like right on the Huntline TV website, and on his YouTube channel!
